The Burning Hand of Xanthor

The Veil Enforcers are the feared soldiers of the Veil of Embers, serving the Ember Lord and his mission to resurrect the ancient dragon Xanthor. Their ranks include both humans and Drakebound, many of whom believe Xanthor's return will restore dragonkind to its former glory.

Clad in dark armor marked with crimson, they patrol the streets of Drakos, enforce bloodline registration, conduct searches, and drag suspected enemies of the Veil into custody. Their authority is rarely questioned, and those who resist often disappear.

Some serve out of religious devotion, others for the power and protection the Veil provides. Whatever their reasons, the Enforcers have earned a reputation for cruelty, intimidation, and unquestioning obedience.

In Drakos, the sight of their armor is often enough to send people indoors and doors slamming shut.
