Vale Enforcers
The Faithful. The Bound. The Burning Hand of Xanthor.
They do not move as a mob.
They move as doctrine made flesh.
The Veil Enforcers are the visible arm of the Veil of Embers, drakebound and human alike, sworn to Lord Vaerik and the promised resurrection of Xanthor. Some wear crimson openly in the streets of Drakos. Others operate from shadowed corridors, their allegiance concealed beneath noble titles or guild insignia.
All serve the same fire.
Within their ranks stand Pyreborn who wield flame in disciplined arcs, Terrabound who anchor suppression wards into stone, Stormwrought who patrol the skies, Tidebound who control the waterways, Mindborn who sift through memory and doubt. Humans serve beside them as well, trained in ritual, enforcement, and obedience. Belief binds them as tightly as any sigil.
To many in Drakos, they are zealots in fine armor.
Their patrols are met with lowered voices and averted gazes. Their sermons echo through stone plazas where some kneel in reverence and others mutter in defiance. They speak of purification and divine order in a city that has learned to fear both words.
They enforce registration. They monitor bloodlines. They escort prisoners in silence through iron corridors beneath the city. They guard dragonkind in chains and stand watch over sacred relics with unwavering vigilance.
Some joined out of devotion, convinced that Xanthor’s return will restore dragonkind to dominion. Some aligned themselves for safety, choosing proximity to power over opposition to it. Others were born into the Veil’s doctrine and have never questioned its fire.
Doubt does not thrive within their ranks.
The Veil rewards faith. It disciplines hesitation.
Under the Ember Lord’s command, the Enforcers function as a unified will. They do not debate necessity.
They execute it.
And when purification is called for, they will answer without pause.
